Steven G. Reitan DDS, Diplomate

Steve graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in zoology in 1970. He followed that up with graduate study in genetics at Arizona State before attending Northwestern University to obtain his DDS and become a dentist. He practiced general dentistry for a several years, and was a clinical instructor at the University of Kentucky and Emory University. In 1979 he went back to dental school at Emory and was awarded a certificate in periodontics in 1981.

Steve has been practicing periodontics in the valley ever since. Later, Steve became a Diplomate in the American Board of Periodontology upon completion of a written and oral exam. He has participated in studies involving local drug delivery for the treatment of periodontitis and is an active member of local as well as national periodontal societies. He is currently serving on the continuing education oversight committee in the American Academy of Periodontology.

Ralph F. Wilson DDS, MS, Diplomate

Ralph graduated from the Ohio State University.three times. In 1993 Dr. Wilson graduated with distinction with a BS in psychology. In 1999, he graduated cum laude with a DDS and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Society. He continued his education by specializing in periodontics and received a certificate in periodontology and a masters in 2002.

He was selected for an American Cancer Society Research Fellowship during his residency training and was the chief resident in his periodontal program. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Peridontology. He has published articles in cancer as well as dental journals and has been a podium speaker at the annual American Academy of Periodontology meeting on lasers as well as emerging technology and techniques. He is currently involved in research using lasers to treat periodontal disease. He also helps coordinate the analysis of less invasive ways to do sinus lifts that all the doctors in this practice are involved in. In his spare time he has two kids and golf to keep him busy.

Bruce Houser DDS, MS Diplomate

Dr. Bruce Houser is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, Texas. Following dental school, Dr. Houser completed a three-year residency in Periodontics at San Antonio, in which he received a Masters Degree and certificate in Periodontics.

He is Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Arizona Society of Periodontists, the Western Society of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseintegration. He is current Treasurer of the Western Society of Periodontology and President of the Arizona Society of Periodontists.

He has published articles on periodontics and dental implants. He served as host of “Dental Dialogue,” an interactive radio show which aired on KFNX in Phoenix, and is past president of the Scottsdale Paradise Valley Dental Study Club. Lecture affiliations include Phoenix College, Rio Salado Hygiene, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He is in private practice at Pinnacle Peak Periodontics in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Randy Fitzgerald, DDS, Diplomate

Randy graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors degree in Zoology in 1999. He attended dental school at Indiana University and graduated with a DDS in 2003. In 2006 he received a Masters Degree in Oral Biology and his certificate in periodontology from Ohio State University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Randy received an NIH grant at Indiana University to study the effects that nicotine has on gingival fibroblasts. At Ohio State he performed research on the uptake of NSAIDs by the oral epithelium. Randy takes pride in his affiliations with local, as well as national, dental and periodontal associations. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
